First day of class

​today is our first day of class.  We are still waiting on 2 students. Their families are walking or driving them here and giving them brief tours and explanations so they can get familiar with their surroundings.

We had a great first day here in Quito.  I’ve been trying to post here but the upload time is SLOW SLOW.  Please check Instagram because the upload is much faster, and I can post short frequent updates.

Our host families. All so kind!!!  I’m bent down because I’m about a foot taller than my host mom. I didn’t get a pic of Khylen and Isaiah’s mom but will later.

Our first night and morning in Quito

​our flight didn’t land until after midnight so we arrived in the cover of night and couldn’t fully see the city as we were dropped off at our different host families.  Now that the sun is up and we are awake we are in our what’s app chat checking in and sharing pix of our new surroundings.  Here are a few for you to see as well.

Our young men are all sitting together and I’m a few rows ahead of them.  Ms Adams Was rebooked for tomorrow (she got held up checking her bags), and Mr Landsman will arrive on Tuesday.
